Course Overview

The Leadership Development Course is designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge needed to become effective and inspiring leaders. This course delves into various leadership theories, practical strategies, and real-world applications to help participants cultivate their leadership potential.

Course Objectives

  • Understand Leadership Theories: Gain insights into different leadership styles and theories and learn how to apply them in various contexts.
  • Develop Leadership Skills: Enhance critical skills such as communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, and team building.
  • Self-Awareness: Increase self-awareness and emotional intelligence to lead with authenticity and empathy.
  • Strategic Thinking: Learn to think strategically and make informed decisions that drive organizational success.
  • Change Management: Understand the dynamics of change and develop strategies to effectively manage and lead through change.

 

To obtain the CAPS credential, candidates must complete the following within 6 months of declaring candidacy:

  • Minimum of 24 months of experience as a multi-site supervisor OR 24 months of experience as an apartment manager plus CAM
  • Successful completion of all CAPS courses (totaling 10 hours)
  • Meet all examination standards

Note: This is an individual course module for the CAPS credential. See CAPS Online for certification requirements. The 6-month credential candidacy period begins on the purchase date of a student's first CAPS module. Once all five CAPS modules are successfully completed, students should send their Visto transcripts to [email protected].
